Graduate Business Certificate Program Certificate

The College of Adult and Distance Education offers an online Graduate Business Certificate program which can be completed in 4 to 8 months. The Graduate Certificate is positioned to provide a quicker business need for the student while offering a future option to complete the Graduate degree. The certificate can be obtained in four months (F/T) or eight months (P/T) and each course is directly transferable to the MBA, MOL, or MHA graduate degree. Therefore, a Graduate Certificate earner is also a potential Graduate degree student. Additionally, the certificate options are business practicable, applicative and are competitive in offering, rigor, cost, and overall value.

The certificate program is an immersive program with a qualitative business focus utilizing theoretical, case based, and problem-solving methodologies that enables personal and professional transformation. The certificate program consists of six different option of 12 hours focusing on core business management, business ethics, and personal values-based decision making. All students will take BUS 555 as the first course and then complete the three certificate courses. You will study the real-world issues that impact the business environment while building leadership skills and learning valuable team building proficiency.

The Graduate Business Certificates draw on expertise of the leadership experienced faculty and the College of Adult and Distance Education to support professionals from a variety of fields in their business leadership and management development.

Admissions Requirements

Applicants to the Graduate Business Certificate program must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or a graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • If the cumulative GPA is below 2.75, applicants must complete directed essay questions which will be reviewed by the Business Graduate Admission Council for admission consideration.
  • If the bachelor’s degree was from a non-regionally accredited institution, the applicant must take the GMAT or GRE for admission consideration. GMAT scores of 500 or GRE scores of 300 or above are required for admission.

To apply for the Graduate Business Certificate program students must:

  • Submit online application for admission
  • Submit official transcript(s) for most recent bachelor or graduate degree conferred
  • Transcripts are official only if sent directly to the Office of Admissions from the registrar of the institution attended.
  • Submit a current resume

Note: Transcripts will be evaluated for evidence of basic knowledge of Common Professional Competencies.  Based on this review, completion of appropriate course pre-requisites may be required.
